Arrowhead is a game developed for the VimJam: Collectables game jam.

Play as a prisoner trapped in a dungeon with an endless hoard of angry skulls trying to hunt you down. Your only defence: a bow with 5 arrows.

Collect your arrows once they've been shot to reuse them, and get back to safety to fire again. How long can you last in this endless nightmare?

Theme integration

Having to collect your arrows after they've been shot fits both the "collectibles" focus and the theme of "there and back".  Enemies will occasionally drop bomb arrows and health pickups to collect too.

Controls

Movement: WASD or Arrow Keys
Aim: mouse
Shoot: left mouse click

I really like the arrow shooting and collecting! Could you maybe check out my entry if you have the time and want to :)?

Thank you!
Will check out your game now :)

I played this game for way too long! haha. I enjoyed the use of the ammo making you have to move because you can’t just stock up on arrows endlessly.

Love to hear that ^^

I like the restrictions of 5 arrows. Managing scare resources like this really adds something.

Thank you! I think the concept has the potential to be expanded upon :)

Cool concept! Needs a few more touches for better play value.

Thank you! Yes, we had loads of ideas that didn't make it into the game

2280 points!

Really enjoyed it and i love the art style. I think it needs a few different kinds of levels and maybe a couple more enemies to give it some more replayability. Liked it anyways!

I've also made a game if you'd like to take a look.

Amazing score!

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, we would have liked to turn it into a little roguelite with different levels to get to and more powerups, but had to keep the scope in check for the jam.

I'll check out your game!
